I was 5 years old when arriving to Daylesford from England.It was the days when if the "Brits" paid their journey to Australia and stayed 21/2 years The Australian Government would pay our return trip. Daylesford was a very small town in those days, one main street and not to many no paved streets. I have a photo of the 1950 school class if you are interested.

Thanks Barry, Daylesford sure is an interesting town, a copy of your photo would be great. At the moment I am putting together a collection of Daylesford area photos over 150 at the moment. Which can be viewed or printed and posted. Daylesford is a bit more upmarket now with some amazing views to be seen. I didn't know the Australian government had a scheme going like that. from Tina.
