Education in Daylesford also covers the needs of people from all walks of life.

There are two Primary Schools and a Secondary College in the town itself.
One primary school, St Michael’s, is Catholic. Also there is the Dharma School offering an educational philosophy drawing from the methods and wisdom of Buddhist teachings.

There are also many excellent schools, both primary and secondary in the region located outside of the Daylesford township. In nearby Castlemaine there is a Steiner School, their motto Learning For life, From life, Throughout life, is upheld in the curriculum and a huge emphasis is placed on respect towards each other and for one’s self.
