Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and the surrounding area are so charming and interesting to explore. I have great memories of visiting with my family when I was around the age of 8 to 13. My brother and I explored every where we could, it was an adventurous kids dream place to play and explore.

I remember one day we were playing at the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve and we discovered some caves, we had such fun there. I wonder if those caves are still there. We also loved trying out the different tastes of the mineral springs and finding our favourite ones. I think one of my favourites was the Soda Spring which is near the Bathhouse. We always stayed at one of the guesthouses in Hepburn Springs which was an adventure in itself.

We had many swims in the old Hepburn Pool also, it was a delight
on a hot summers day. I had a look recently and the pool hasn't changed much at all just like I remembered it, the new access ramps are excellent.

Now days I see the area as absolutely charming, a beautiful mix of the old that I remember so dearly and the new, both together creates an ambience that really refreshes the soul and spirit.

I went to the Wombat Hill Gardens just before the 150th celebrations as I could not make it on the day, the rebuilt cascade in the fernery was beautiful, I have added a photo of it.

With every visit I find great excitement in discovering new places and things to do but also going to the lakes, the garden, the springs which take me back to many years of such joy and adventures.
